Kirby has a broad range of engineering experience in southern Alberta and Saskatchewan, including public sector work at CFB Suffield, construction contracting, as well as over 15 years in land development consulting, where he has specialized in subdivision and infrastructure design, storm water management and project management.
Kirby has served on the Urban Development Institute Alberta board for the last three years and is an active member of the local UDI association, which acts as the development industry’s liaison with local municipalities.
