Darrin received his Bachelor of Engineering from Memorial University (Newfoundland) in 1988. He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta, and a former member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland.

Presently, Darrin provides Project Engineering services on a contract basis to Scheffer Andrew Ltd. for projects in the Edmonton area.

Darrin has over a decade of experience in the design and management of municipal and land development projects, including infrastructure renewal projects and the operational planning and design for a number of landfill sites. Darrin has also been responsible for the design of arterial roadways.
