Sheldon obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil (Coop) Engineering from the University of the Alberta in 1992. He joined Scheffer Andrew Ltd. in 2005 as a partner and the Medicine Hat Branch Manager.

Sheldon is responsible for the day to day operations of the Medicine Hat office including project management and design responsibilities on a number of projects in the Southern Alberta and Saskatchewan areas.

Sheldon initially began with Scheffer Consultants Ltd. in 1993 as a field and design engineer in the Medicine Hat office prior to leaving in 1996, when he went to work for the City of Medicine Hat. During his time with the City, he was initially involved with municipal operations of the City, but soon moved into the land development and transportation roles of the City as the designer and approving authority in his eventual role as Manager of Engineering Services.

Sheldon has experience in the planning, design, construction, and project management of various sized land development, municipal, and transportation projects primarily in the Medicine Hat area. He is actively involved in various community organizations, and is a longtime member of the APEGGA Branch Executive in Medicine Hat.
