Some of the community activities we are happy to have been a part of: The Easter Seal Relay, Scheffer Andrew Ltd. is again sponsoring Easter Seal 24 relay, Many of the Scheffer Andrew Ltd. staff and families make up our team the 'SAL Desperados' we will be running & walking to raise awareness and funds to support individuals and there families with disabilities and special needs. Click here to donate Community Food Banks: Typically, food banks are much in need of contributions as the temperatures in Alberta drop down. Scheffer Andrew Ltd. gladly gives funds to the food banks of Edmonton, Calgary, Medicine Hat and Cold Lake in December to help provide relief to families in need. Alzheimer Society Fundraiser: We participate in raising money for this worthy cause every year. In 2007, we contributed $1350 for research towards ending Alzheimer’s disease. Champions for Children: This is an event of the Rotary Club of Edmonton Northeast which supports programs and projects which make a difference in the lives of children, youth and families. We contribute to their worthy fundraising efforts each year. Medicine Hat Catholic School Board: Scheffer Andrew Ltd. has contributed to the sponsorship of several musical stage productions presented by the Medicine Hat Catholic School Board, to help encourage the talent of young performers. Medicine Hat Minor Hockey Association: Since 1979 (when the company was still called Scheffer Consultants) we have been regular sponsors of Minor Hockey teams in Medicine Hat. Minor hockey encourages activity, sportsmanship and teamwork in young people and we are proud to have our name on their jerseys year after year. Go, team! University of Alberta FSAE Club: Scheffer Andrew Ltd. contributes to the U of A in their entry to the student-designed race car competition, which takes place in Fontana, California. The engineering students work as a team and gain valuable experience in many areas. In 2008, the U of A team ranked 15th out of 80 teams, and 1st in Canada! 2007 TransRockies Challenge: In 2007, Scheffer Andrew Ltd. sponsored a team of 2 mountain bikers who took on the gruelling TransRockies Challenge, a week-long trek through the BC mountains.
